HEALTH REBATES ARE AVAILABLE!

Chiropractic

Chiropractic care at Resonate Wellbeing is about looking after the whole individual.

We focus on diagnosis, treatment and prevention of mechanical disorders of the musculoskeletal system.

Chiropractors treat disorders which affect the biomechanics, nervous system and the health of the patient in general.

Resonates principal chiropractor Dr Nadine Toussaint examines the relationship between musculoskeletal disorders and general health. She promotes self-help measures and health promotion via chiropractic techniques.

Treatment includes manual techniques, spinal adjustments, joint and soft-tissue manipulations.

Myotherapy

Myotherapy is the treatment and rehabilitation of musculoskeletal pain and associated conditions.

It involves a physical evaluation and an integrated therapeutic approach to affected muscles, joints, nerves, and associated viscera (organs) and is used in the treatment of acute or chronic conditions and in preventative management.

Myotherapy is a form of Physical therapy similar to remedial massage and is used to treat musculoskeletal conditions that result from improper posture, poor biomechanics and injury.

Myotherapists assess and treat the connective tissue (muscle, tendons, ligaments, joint capsules, tissue coverings) using mostly direct 'hands-on' techniques. Myotherapists are also trained in the use of rehabilitation aids, taping, Dry needling and exercise prescription for rehabilitation.
Treatments incorporate the following:
  • A thorough patient history
  • Observations of tissue, movement, and gait
  • Postural assessment
  • Palpation of spine, peripheral joints and musculature,Connective tissue and associated viscera
  • Clinical Orthopaedic and Neurological tests

Yoga Vinyasa

Vinyasa is an approach to yoga in which you move from one pose directly into the next. There’s a flow to a Vinyasa yoga session, though the specific poses and the pace of the flow vary from one instructor to the next.
You may also hear the term Ashtanga yoga used interchangeably with Vinyasa. While they’re similar in approach, the key difference is that Ashtanga sessions follow the same pattern of poses every time.
Vinyasa, on the other hand, usually moves from one pose to the next at the teacher’s discretion. This transition coordinates with your breathing. It’s done specifically as you exhale or inhale, and it gives you the feeling that your breath is moving your body.
Beginners and Advance welcome to our classes.

Exercise Prescription

Exercise prescription is a form of physical therapy to help the individual address issues with movement.

For some it's about fixing an injury old or new, perfecting the right technique injury free in the weights room, or being able to run free of knee pain. Others it could be fixing the postural discomfort from working at a desk all day; or you may simply just want to work on strengthening you core.

We start with a questionnaire and medical history, moving into a physical assessment, looking at how your body moves. From there we create an exercise plan which can be achieved in your own time using an app called physitrack, or a one on one session and or both.

In some cases an assessment with Dr Nadine Toussaint or your local GP may be required, depending your circumstances.

We use exercise and movement in supporting the body and individual to achieve their personal physical goals and outcomes.

At Resonate we want you to be free to move with ease. Feel the freedom of being able to pick up your bag from the floor without pain, walk up or down stairs with ease, going for a run, swim, dance, or whatever your choice of movement, we are here to help.

Movement is freedom!
